UI UX Design Master

Design Track · Step 3
Six months. 15 students per cohort. Diploma certified.
This is Step 3 of the Design Track - the endpoint of a curriculum built to take a designer from complete beginner all the way to senior, lead, or principal level. The Bootcamp proves the path. Pro builds the foundation. Master builds the career.
The Master course is not a longer version of Pro. It assumes you can already design. It focuses on what separates a competent designer from one who leads: design strategy, advanced systems, AI product thinking, stakeholder management, and the kind of portfolio that gets responses from design directors, not just hiring coordinators.
Across 6 months and 6 modules, you build a portfolio that reflects senior-level thinking - not just execution. The artefacts are real deliverables on real briefs, reviewed by mentors and in some modules by client stakeholders.

Every deliverable below is built during the course - not after it.
Design tokens at scale. Multi-brand theming. Component governance. Documentation standards. Design system versioning and contribution models. DesignOps - how design teams manage and maintain systems at speed.
Tools: Figma (advanced), Figma tokens
Deliverable: Enterprise-grade design system with documentation and governance model
Research at scale - running studies with 50+ participants. Quantitative UX - survey design, analytics, A/B test design and interpretation. Jobs to Be Done at strategic level. Research operations - how to build a research practice in a product organisation. North star metrics and design KPIs.
Tools: Claude (research synthesis and analysis), Perplexity, Figma
Deliverable: Strategic research report and measurement framework for a real product
Assigned brief from a real client. End-to-end ownership - research, strategy, design, prototype, handoff. Client feedback rounds. Presentation to stakeholders.
Tools: Full toolchain
Deliverable: Client project 1 - full case study, design files, client handoff documentation
Overview of AI product design as a discipline. How AI changes product strategy - non-deterministic output, probabilistic UX, trust as a design variable. Speccing AI features - what to include in a product brief when the output is AI-generated. Designing AI onboarding flows. This module is a strategic overview - 2 weeks of depth. Students who want 6 weeks of depth on AI behaviour design, trust UI, error states, and prototyping AI features should take the AI Product Design Course after or alongside this module.
Tools: Claude (behaviour spec writing), Figma
Deliverable: AI product strategy brief and feature specification
Facilitating design critiques. Presenting design decisions to non-designers. Managing design in cross-functional teams. Design career pathing - IC track vs management track. Building a design culture. Design hiring.
Tools: Claude (presentation writing, stakeholder communication)
Deliverable: Design leadership artefact - critique facilitation, stakeholder presentation, or process definition
Real client project 2 assigned in week 1 of month 6 - smaller scope, faster turnaround, senior decision-making required. Capstone project - a self-directed end-to-end problem that demonstrates the full 6-month curriculum in one piece of work. Portfolio presentation. Diploma awarded.
Tools: Full toolchain
Deliverable: Client project 2 · Capstone project · Portfolio presentation · Diploma certificate
Advanced design systems, tokens, multi-brand theming, and UI execution across all six modules.
Research synthesis, AI behaviour specs, presentation writing, and stakeholder communication.
Strategic research, competitive analysis, and market context in Module 2.

Prerequisites:
After Master: The natural progression is the AI Product Design Course for designers moving into AI-native product roles.
This is the most important distinction to understand before enrolling.
The Master curriculum includes a 2-week AI product strategy module in month 4. It covers the strategic layer - how AI changes product thinking, how to brief an AI feature, how to think about trust and uncertainty at a product level. It is the right depth for a designer who needs to work within AI product teams and understand the strategic context.
The AI Product Design Course is a separate 6-week standalone course that goes significantly deeper on the execution layer - designing all 8 AI states in Figma, writing full AI behaviour specifications, building functional Bolt/v0 prototypes of AI features, and producing two portfolio case studies specifically in AI product design. That course is built for designers and PMs who want AI product design as their primary specialisation - not as one module within a broader curriculum.
Who should take which:
Most intermediate designers plateau. They know how to use Figma. They can produce clean screens. They have a portfolio. And they keep applying for senior roles and getting rejected because their work lacks the strategic depth, the systems thinking, and the leadership capability that senior roles require.
This course is built specifically for that plateau. The six months are structured around closing the gap between "I can design" and "I can lead a design function."
The prerequisite is one year of design experience - either professional experience or completion of the UI UX Design Pro course. If you are earlier in your journey, the Pro course is the right starting point.
